Year 1 Plant Exploration 11.5.22

Year 1 started their new science topic this week all about plants. To begin this we explored the parts of plants in lots of different ways. We observed them closely using magnifying glasses and tried to name the individual parts, we then tried to put the parts of the plants into categories. We used the wonderful orchard to go on a flower hunt and drew what we found. We took care to draw what we saw and not what we think a plant looks like. We then returned to the classroom and made our own plant picture to remind us of these parts.
