Y3 and Y4 Mummification Experiment (of Apples!)
Y3 and Y4 ‘mummified’ apples, carving into them and then covered them using Bicarbonate of Soda and salt. For the duration of this the blinds were drawn and they used battery candles to replicate the environment,whilst playing soft ambient Ancient Egyptian music. They left them for a week to dry out, weighed them before and afterwards and then some of them were ‘buried’ in our orchard!
