Y1 Fieldwork - how the weather affects us 19.1.23

Our Geography topic is 'How does the weather affect our lives?' and we have been out and about around the school grounds to see how things look different in the rain and snow. We have thought about how it affects the clothes we wear and the activities we do; we have to move around more carefully and wear suitable clothes, like wellies, if we want to play in the puddles. Mrs Scaife came to talk to us about how she feels when the football pitch gets water-logged and she has to cancel matches. We found some interesting ice shapes and really loved playing in the snow!
We have set up some windsocks and rain gauges in our outdoor area to help us to measure the weather.
