On Thursday we welcomed some of the residents from Dunboyne Court who came to review this term's homework project on local history. Phil, Sandra, Pat and John had lunch with the children and discussed their projects before giving them each a special certificate to acknowledge their effort and achievement. It was a very successful visit for both the children and our older friends. Phil commented:
'We would all like to say a big thank you for the thoroughly pleasurable and successful visit we enjoyed at your school today. The project work, variety and effort applied by the pupils was extremely good and of excellent quality especially considering the age range. Lunch was delicious and enjoyed by us all, very kind thank you. An added bonus for us was being able to appreciate friendly lunchtime period with the pupils who had submitted projects. A very memorable, rewarding and happy day was had by us all and we look forward to our next joint meeting with St Margaret’s'
We look forward to welcoming them back in the spring term when our project will be science-based.
