Y3 and Y4 visited Torquay museum to experience Egyptian workshops, including painting hieroglyphics, using clay to make scarab beetles, role play with costumes, Egyptian board games, building pyramid puzzles and a talk about the mummification process - including seeing a real life mummy!
They represented themselves, their families and the school really well. Heather Adams, the Learning Officer commented: “It was a pleasure to welcome the children and staff from St. Margaret's to the Museum today and yesterday for our Egyptians Workshops and we hope you enjoyed the day. We were so impressed by the children's behaviour, enthusiasm and really interesting questions.”
If you are interested in visiting the museum there are two interesting events coming up in May:
Museum at Night 18th May from 6-9pm
Stone Age cave painting 29th May 10- 4.
