St Margaret’s 2 vs Homelands 2

Our first competitive boys' football match for two years!  It was a good game between two good teams!  On Monday 28th March, St Margaret’s faced Homelands in a friendly match in preparation for our upcoming cup matches.  Homelands scored first and then St Margaret’s equalised, which meant it was 1-1 at half time.  In the second half St Margaret’s scored a further goal and then Homelands managed to equalise, so at full time the game finished St Margaret’s 2 Homelands 2.  Well done to Alfie who was man of the match.  It’s a good start for the team and the players are very keen to play Babbacombe in our next friendly fixture.

St Margaret’s 1 vs Babbacombe 0

On Friday 1st April St Margaret’s had a friendly game with Babbacombe.  We played at our home pitch and Mr Mayling refereed.  The game was very close with both teams being well matched.  In the second half St Margaret’s were gifted a goal after lots of pressure from our players led to a mistake from Babbacombe’s goalkeeper.  Well done to Ethan who was man of the match.  We will meet Babbacombe again after Easter in a Cup match!

St Margaret’s B 2 vs Homelands B 0

What a result!  On Monday 4th April St Margaret’s B team played against Homelands B team in a friendly match.  St Margaret’s took an early lead with a goal from Olly.  It stayed 1-0 until half-time.  We continued to play really well and in the second half, we were awarded a penalty.  Olly stood up for this one and he drilled it into the back of the net – what a penalty!  Well done St Margaret’s B team for playing great football and well done to Jesse for being man of the match!
