We had a visit from PCSOs Jack, Naomi and Charlotte. They gave our Year 5 and Year 6 children a talk covering current issues they are finding with youths in the bay such as bike anti-social behaviour, the use of now illegal e-scooters, the use of phones and social media and touched on knife crime. It was a really informative insight into their work and how they can protect our children.
They gave tips on how the children can protect themselves, who to turn to when something isn't right and to encourage them to talk with their parents/carers or trusted adults in school.
Hopefully later on this academic year, the Youth Intervention Team will provide a longer presentation covering an array of topics. This will be to advise the children on how to make the best choices going forward into their teens and adulthood.
