Y1 Beech Flashback to Materials 17.5.23

Beech Class had a science flashback lesson in our outdoor area today. We tried to remember as much as we could about materials. Our outdoor area had lots of the materials we have learnt about.  We thought about why metal is good for nails and we decided it was because metal won't bend and then searched for as many as we could find. Why would a paper towel be best for mopping up a spill? Penelope thought it was because it "sucks water up" - we revisited our star word 'absorbent' and watched this in action when the paper towel mopped up the rain water from the tray.
