Torquay Pupil's Winning Christmas Card Design Presented To PM
A Christmas Card designed by a Torquay Primary School Pupil has been presented to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak by Torbay’s MP, Kevin Foster.
Every year Kevin picks a Primary School in Torquay or Paignton to run a “Design a Christmas Card for Your MP” Competition. This year he chose St Margaret’s Academy in Barewell Road, St Marychurch, with Pupil Bella Lawrence’s design being chosen as the one which will be on the front of the card which is sent to dozens of MPs, Cabinet Ministers, and the Prime Minister, in addition to hundreds of people across our bay.
The card also features 4 runners up on the inside, with their designs alongside their names.
Kevin said: “I was pleased to receive so many fantastic entries for this year’s competition from pupils of St Margaret’s Academy. It was difficult choosing a winner, but Bella’s design was excellent and will now be seen on display not only here in our bay, but in Parliament and even 10 Downing Street.”
Kevin’s Christmas Card is produced and sent at no cost to the taxpayer.
