Tom Gates / Princess Theatre / St Margaret's Collaboration May 2019

After performing our nativity for a number of years at The Princess Theatre, they kindly asked if 6 children would like to represent St Margaret's Academy and help them with a short video to advertise the recent Tom Gates performance. It is fair to say that six children from Year 2 were very happy to help!  Once they had each received a special delivery of a Tom Gates book, the children didn't hesitate to show their love of reading as they enthusiastically read it from cover to cover.  A week later Rachel French from the theatre came to visit the children and recorded them discussing what they thought of the book.  They discussed their favourite part, whether any of the characters reminded them of people they knew and whether they would like to go to see Tom Gates.  As a thank you, the children were invited to go and watch Tom Gates with their families courtesy of the theatre.  We feel very privileged to have been given this opportunity and the children represented our school well.
