This morning our new student councillors met with a member of the House of Lords, Lord Aberdare. Our councillors found it very interesting and learnt a few things about parliament and how the House of Lords works. Here's what Noah and Arlo said:
"As school counsellors we met up with Lord Aberdare to ask him questions about parliament, the House of Lord and the government. He loved talking to us and we loved talking to him. He is a cross bench Lord which means that he is independent to political parties. He showed us a lot about his job and his home. He told us about how he makes laws with the other lords. Did you know that every lord does not have a boss. This meeting was very educational."
