Once again, we are so grateful to our friends from Dunboyne Court for supporting us with judging the entries for this term's homework competition, based on 'Computing'. It was another super valuable opportunity for our children to work with the community. We all enjoyed sharing stories over lunch too. The children will be completing a return visit to Dunboyne Court in a week's time to share their winning projects with all the other residents.
Below is a lovely thank you message from Phil Smith at Dunboyne Court:
Good morning Tim and firstly I would like to say thank you from both Zoe and myself for once again giving us the privilege of judging the terrific projects entered in another fascinating competition.
Although the number of entries was perhaps not as many as for previously competitions, the standard along with variety of the projects remained excellent.
Hence selecting an overall winning entry was once again an intriguing and difficult challenge for us.
The knowledge of the presenters was very good, with an impressive level of confidence to both deliver and discuss their work (as displayed by entrants in past projects/competitions).
So after much discussion we decided that Ella and Holly’s ‘Pokémon Card’ project was slightly ahead of the other highly commended and varied Computer Based projects.
We would be extremely grateful if on our behalf, you can convey our congratulations to each of the entrants and thank them for the amount of commitment that they had applied to their respective projects - extremely impressive.
